With many of these spelling words, you can add an additional challenge for clever students. The addition of a suffix can make for a new step in education as you drill difficult spelling and grammar concepts. Spelling lists aim to expand vocabulary, but they are only the base for understanding.
There are always fun ways to include learning in our daily lives. If you catch yourself using any of our spelling words in conversation – even if you just see it on a billboard while driving to the grocery store – make a note of it to your child. If you seem hyped about it, they will join in and start to use their new skills to recognize the words, themselves!
Before long, you’ll be unable to go anywhere without your child making sure you see all of the words that start with the Letter U.
