If you were planning on heading to Costco anytime soon make sure you take your mask. Why? Because as of May 4, 2020 you won’t be able to enter your local Costco store without one. Costco Is Now Requiring Everyone To Wear A Mask While Shopping.

The announcement came via social media when Costco posted saying:
“Effective May 4: Face Mask Requirements
– Costco members and guests must wear a mask or face covering that covers their mouth and nose, at all times while at Costco. This requirement does not apply to children under the age of 2 or to individuals who are unable to wear a mask or face covering due to a medical condition.”
On their website they continued by saying:
“The use of a face covering should not be seen as a substitute for social distancing. Please continue to observe rules regarding appropriate distancing while on Costco premises. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.”
While people are having mixed feelings, I can completely see why they are doing it – to protect you and their employees.
Being that Costco employees have been working tirelessly during this time, I personally think wearing as mask is the least we can do, right?
