Ian Pfaff was inspired by his favorite movie when he decided to revamp hand-me-down Cozy Coupes for his two children.
The dad started with the traditional toddler car as a base and started adding on to the vehicles using scraps and recyclable materials he found around his house–parts from an espresso machine, old computer pieces, even the leftover parts from an old breast pump his wife wasn’t using!
The breast pump pieces ended up being exhaust pipes on one nuclear wasteland vehicle while a bicycle chain accented a steering wheel. There’s even a beat up doll and robot to decorate the front of the vehicles.
Pfaff’s wife, Emily, even got into the plan, creating costumes for the kids to match their vehicles, including matching sippy cups in the same theme.
Pfaff said each vehicle took about two days to complete, one for the painting (which had to dry) and another day for the customizations.
Once the cars were complete, the director dad even shot his own Mad Max Junior with his kids; definitely the coolest dad on the block.
There are so many awesome upcycled ideas for Little Tikes Cozy Coupes, but this Mad Max: Fury Road inspired pair of kiddie cars is one of the coolest ones out there.
