Cat Poop Cookies

We have the perfect dessert to serve on April Fool’s Day! Yes, you read the title right  Cat Poop  Cookies.  Rest assured, these cookies contain no poop…but I guarantee your family will make a double-take when these are served in a NEW, CLEAN disposable dish pan on a bed of cereal with a NEW, CLEAN scooper!

Cat Poop Cookies in a dish pan

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup molasses

2/3 cup butter

1 egg

2 1/3 cup whole wheat flour

1/2 t cinnamon

1/2 t ginger

1/2 t cloves

1 (32oz) pkg wheat & barley nugget cereal (like Grapenuts)

1/2 cup crushed ramen noodles

In a microwaveable bowl, microwave the honey until it bubbles…this may take up to 1 minute.  Stir in the butter, egg, & molasses.  Beat until smooth.

Stir in the cinnamon, ginger, cloves, & flour until combined.

Now it’s time to get creative!  Add the exciting additions of your choice…coconut, ramen, chocolate chips, peanuts…you know…to make it look more “real.”  Chill dough until firm.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Roll dough into logs (heh, heh) about 3/4 inch in diameter & cut into pieces about the length of a cat poop.  I have no exact measurement for this, so use your imagination.

Roll pieces in the cereal, place on a cookie sheet, & bake for about 13 minutes.  Allow to cool.

Serve these in a NEW, CLEAN dish pan, on a bed of Grapenuts with a NEW, CLEAN scooper.  Feeling creative?  Add plastic flies!

Don’t tell anyone I shared this recipe.  I don’t want to be known as the Cat Poop Cookie Lady.  Thanks!!

Happy April Fools Day!
