Mornings are chaotic for me.  I used to be lucky if I could leave the house with a new pair of leggings on and without looking like a raccoon (you know, that smudged mascara look). It wasn’t until my son started Kindergarten that I really got into the hang of things and sort of perfected my morning routine (well, sort of). Now I am less stressed and leave the house looking like I am put together even when I’m really not. Today we are partnering with  bareMinerals to share The Perfect Morning Routine for Mom. Of course everyone is different so this routine may not exactly work for you but it’s a few of my favorite ways to stay sane and get through the morning with ease. The Perfect Morning Routine for Mom

I get it, most of us are lucky if we get showered in a day. Moms are always on-the-go and we tend to put everyone else before us. That is why we have to get creative with the way we tackle the day and as we all know, a day is only as good as the morning that starts it. So here are few tips that can help you keep your sanity and get you off onto the right track every single morning. Start with a pick me up – Whether it’s a cup of coffee or quick session of yoga, having something to help you kick start your morning is just what us moms need. So take some time to yourself even if it’s a few minutes before your kids get up. Forget the hair washing – I have long and thick hair so washing, conditioning, treating, blow drying, and then styling my hair each and every day is out of the question. Choose an up-do, throw in some quick curls, or use a dry shampoo to get a look that doesn’t seem like you just rolled out of bed. Prepare the night before – I know last thing you want to do is stay up later than you really want but if you take an extra 10 minutes a night to lay out your kids clothes, get your makeup set out, etc. it can make a HUGE difference come morning. Schedule and then some – Getting yourself on a schedule can help you tackle mornings like a boss. Try to wake the same time every morning, shower the same time every morning, but most importantly, schedule time for things to go wrong. You know in case the kids get sick, the dog knocks over its bowl of water, the things you didn’t plan to happen that morning! Eliminate products you don’t need in your beauty routine – Okay, this is a biggie. Next time you are getting ready take a really good look at what is in your makeup bag or in your beauty cabinet. Do you really need all those products? Can you use one product that will cut down on time and energy? My guess is the answer is yes! I like to use a cleanser that is also moisturizing, a foundation that helps covers imperfections  but is also a sunscreen, and I even have eyelash extensions so I don’t have to apply mascara each morning! The Perfect Morning Routine for Mom2 I truly cannot stress enough that the amount of products you use to get ready can change the entire course of your morning. So I am going to share with you the new  bareMinerals ™ Complexion Rescue which I recently had a chance to try. bareminerals4 The  bareMinerals Complexion Rescue is a  quick fix to that “just rolled out of bed” look because it multi-tasks just as well as you do. It combines  powerful hydration, sun protection and dewy sheer-to-medium coverage. It is the  best of a BB cream, CC cream and tinted moisturizer all-in-one. I started my morning just like any other morning. Made some coffee, checked my email, and took a shower. Then I realized my son needed to get to school early for a field trip so I rushed to get ready. I applied the bareMinerals Complexion Rescue (which I actually had matched to my skin tone at my local Ulta) and then applied a powder over the top for some additional coverage. I added a bit of eyeliner and eyeshadow to try to draw away from my tired eyes, put a few curls in my hair, and was on my way.  bareminerals before bareminerals3 Before my skin was a bit red and had a few imperfections. After, my skin looked pretty clear and smooth. I will say that this isn’t a full-coverage foundation. It is much lighter and I applied some to my hand then used my fingers to apply it to my face. You can however, build layers to get the coverage you want or need.  bareminerals after If you are a mom looking to tackle the day with less steps in your morning routine, I recommend giving the  bareMinerals Complexion Rescue a try. It’s available in 10 shades so you are sure to find something that suits your needs.
