It is actually really easy to make your own pickles — you don’t even need a ton of canning supplies.
When I learned this super-simple method for dill pickles recipe in a refrigerator, I was so excited at the possibility!

Ingredients to Make Your Own Pickles recipe
- Mini Cucumbers (or use regular ones and slice them!)
- Mason Jars
- Fresh Dill
- Chopped Garlic
- 3 cups Water
- 6 tbsp. White vinegar
- 3 tbsp. Kosher salt
Steps in making Your own pickles recipe
Step 1
Mix together the water, vinegar, and kosher salt to create a brine. The salt should be completely dissolved.
Step 2
Add a few sprigs of fresh dill into the bottom of a jar, then add in the cucumbers. If you sliced the cucumbers, just fill the jar halfway, then add another layer of dill.
Step 3
Fill up the jar with cucumbers, and add some more dill on top, along with some minced garlic.
Step 4
Pour the brine over the top of the spices and cucumbers, filling the jar.
Step 5
Place in the refrigerator for at least two days to chill.
