Whoa! The first thing I noticed is that the
Huawei Ascend Mate 2 has the largest screen of any smart phone! The 6.1″ HD screen seemed huge next to the phone I normally carry. The funny thing is that I often carry a mini-tablet as well. It’s size is in between the devices that are regularly in my bag.
I started realizing that the screen was large enough to do many things that I would normally do on my tablet. In fact, it consolidated two things into one!
There were things I really liked about the
Huawei Ascend Mate 2. For instance, size does matter when it comes to texting and typing! The touchscreen “keyboard buttons” are much larger and easier to get correct the first time. The screen is perfect for watching videos. It makes a great portable cartoon screen for the kids while waiting when out-and-about. The other thing I love is that my movie can follow me from room to room when I am cleaning up, doing laundry or decorating for the holidays.
Prior to this device, I have not used an Android smart phone, but use a ton of Google docs, photos, gmail, etc. on my desktop. The integration with Google is really simple and helpful. I could pull up my email or shared documents easily no matter where I was.
But I have saved the thing I loved the most for last. I am not the best at remembering to re-charge my phone each night. So the fact that the Huawei Ascned Mate 2 has the longest battery life is a very good thing!
It will run for 2 1/2 days!
That is 60 hours!
That is a weekend of chatting, internet surfing, video watching, video game playing and emailing before needing a rest.
