Digital phone photography has allowed me to go back to recording those tiny moments of life that aren’t “big fancy camera worthy”. Of course, it is those little moments that are memory smiles.
I fell in love with Instagram as it gave me a way to share those moments when they happen. But I found myself using additional apps to create crops and color to share through the platform.
And then I found Studio.
Studio combines everything I adored about scrapbooking without the time commitment, money commitment, or reams of colored paper.
I can easily use a photo from my library or something I just took and add text, crops and textures.
There are tons of Studio Design packs that have templates to start an image or you can create your own.
BUT the best thing about Studio is that you can grab the best designs from other people. It is called remixing. If you see something awesome, you hit the remix button and add your own photo.
When you remix, you can keep the design just like the original creator intended, or you can add your own flair.
One of my favorite things to do is to look through the newest, popular remixes and find ones that fit pictures that I have in my phone library.
Studio is a social network itself. I love to see the new creations of the people I follow there and see how people remix my designs.
It also is incredibly easy to share your images to other social networks as you see fit. Many of my Studio designs go to Instagram and Twitter, but I have also used the share button for FB and Tumblr.
Have I mentioned that I am NOT good at the technical aspect of photo editing and text design in REAL life? But the Studio app interface is super easy and I am often surprised at how good everything looks. <—-I love that.
Even from my VERY FIRST try…
No experience needed!
I thought it would be fun to start a #momsonstudio hashtag.
All you have to do to join the fun is to download the FREE Studio App.
And then follow me: HollyHomer
Then whenever you post something mom-related add the #momsonstudio hashtag to the image description and we can easily find each other!
This is how it works:
It has been so much fun!
Hope to see you there!
I have been a mom addicted to photography since day one of my oldest son’s life. That was way back when I would take purse-fulls of photo rolls into the local developing station and then careful craft scrapbook pages with text, fancy cropping tools and lots and lots of colorful paper.
Nearly every moment of his first year is accounted for in those 12×12 volumes.
Time passed and kids were added to the family. Baby two has a fair amount of photos. Baby three…
And then my phone started taking AMAZING pictures. Pictures that a few years earlier would have required special equipment and processing.
Welcome to Kids Activities!
My name is Holly Homer & I am the Dallas mom of three boys…
