This picture was taken last week when we went on a GLECPTA organized hike at LLELA (Lake Lewisville Environmental Learning Area).
It is an amazing place with hiking trails and a little pioneer village complete with a real smoke house. The hiking is easy–which explains why there were about 20 kids under the age of 4 along! The guides from LLELA had the kids go on a scavenger hunt for different colored items. We also came across a beaver skull, a snake skin and a turtle shell. At the pioneer village the kids learned a lot about pioneer life and made butter.
Churn butter churn, Reid is at the garden gate waiting for his buttercake, churn butter churn.
