create your own felt pretend food, but once you have the food you need a place to store it, along with all the other pretend kitchen accessories. We no longer have a pretend play kitchen, it was taking up too much space and it has found a new home, but the girls still enjoy pretending to cook. Here is a great DIY storage solution that doubles as a stove.

All you need to create your own stove is a clear plastic storage tub, gray and black arcylic paint, and a lid. Use the lid to trace circles to be your “stovetop”. Paint the circles black and cover with two layers of acrylic paint. Have fun playing pretend!

Cute idea for a stove and great place to store in too! Right now we have a huge play kitchen…and the accessories are generally all over the living room. I’m going to have to remember that idea when I want to downsize, or maybe even for Grandma and Grandpa’s house!

This is a great idea! I love items that have multi-uses. I’ll suggest this to my daughter for her 3 yo, especially since space is very limited for them.

This is so cute! I love the stove/storage.
I like this idea. I’m thinking of using one of our old bookshelves and repainting it. The bottom can hold all of the food, and the top can be the burners. We’ll see. I also like this idea though.
