Once in a while an opportunity will come along that you do not think twice about saying yes to. That is how I felt when I was asked to attend the  Dallas Drive Away Event  at the  Arlington, Texas GM plant put on by Metroplex Cadillac Dealers. As part of the event, Dallas area bloggers were assigned to one of six different charities competing for a $150K advertising budget provided by 18 Texas Cadillac Dealers in Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Austin and San Antonio. How exciting is that for these charities? It is so exciting. The charity I had the privilege of being assigned to was The Ronald McDonald House named Team House for the duration of this contest. We left the Arlington GM plant in a shiny new Cadillac Esalade with none other than Mr. Jay Novacek at the wheel and his lovely wife Amy in the passenger seat. I sat in the back with Ronald McDonald House CEO, Jill Cumnock, who was just delightful to spend time with and very passionate about the Ronald McDonald House and ensuring it’s ongoing success.
