Seeing the announcement about the Neiman Marcus Beauty Event reminded me of one of my favorite times of year.
BONUS TIME!
I remember when department stores first started the beauty counter gift with purchase events.
It was a very exciting time that only lasted a week. And don’t even think about waiting until the end because likely they would have already handed out their last bonus cosmetic bag full of sample heaven.
I would stand in line at the cosmetic counter and pick out the bare minimum to qualify for the gift. It was advanced math. They knew what they were doing when they set that bonus minimum. No two things behind that sparkling glass added up to exactly that magic number.
Finally, it would be my turn. I would make the big decision and walk out of the store with my prize. As quickly as possible I would find a seat in the mall and rip open the package to investigate its contents.
Nothing was better than bonus time.
A few years have passed. OK, maybe more than a few, but the thrill of the bonus is still available.
Only this time it isn’t just a little cosmetic bag full of samples.
This time it is the possibility of MANY large bags of goodies!
The Neiman Marcus Beauty Event is hyper-BONUS time.
The picture to the left is all the available gifts with purchase. I think the most difficult decision will be to choose which ones to buy.
The good news is the the event is in store and online from February 24 through March 6.
They are featuring products from many of the beauty lines they carry such as: Chanel, Fresh, Dior, Clinique, Bobbi Brown, Bliss, Laura Mercier, Estee Lauder, Guerlain, Lamcome Paris, La Mer, Kiehl’s, Revive, Tibi for Bobbi Brown, Atelier Cologne, Yves Saint Laurent, Cle De Peau Beaute, La Prairie, Natura Bisse, Kate Somerville, Balenciaga, Natura Bisse, Neulash, Fekkai, Creed, Chantecaille, and Sisley-Paris.
Neiman Marcus is also demonstrating new beauty tools: Baby Quasar, Clarisonic, Tweezerman, Nuface and Crystalift.
