Holly Takes a Tour of the Volvo XC60 with Park Place

A few weeks ago I had a fun adventure on a Thursday afternoon at Park Place Volvo. They had enlisted me and my boys to test drive the Volvo XC60 and video the experience.  It sounded like great fun! In fact, we ended up having so much fun that we made two videos.  This first video was my introduction to the car from Conrad, one of the salesmen at Park Place Volvo.

As you can see, we had a ton of fun with this and I am totally obsessed with the built in booster seat in the backseat {both sides!} of the Volvo XC60. Since Rhett (age 7) is still in a booster, it requires us to move his seat between cars and seems to always be in the way of adults riding in the car. I had always thought of Volvo as being safe.  Conrad described the way the car protects the riders through the design of the front and the multitude of air bags – some are attached to the seats vs. the doors for better cushioning when needed. The other feature that blew my mind was the city safe auto stop.  When I tested this out, I tried to run into some cones, but the car automatically stopped without my feet touching the pedal.  It was spookily cool.  I can see how that would be really helpful in emergency situations to avoid an accident. The bottom line is the car is really nice.  It is comfortable and has more luxury than I expected from a Volvo.  As you will see in the next video, my boys all decided it was much better than the car I currently drive! Please don’t mention to Ryan that I posted the picture above, he would be horrified.  He was imitating what I was doing in the video and it makes me laugh to see it.
