How would you like to take a trip around the world this weekend? What about a stop in Italy? Bulgaria? Or even Mexico? All of these countries will be present at WorldFest 2012 Â in Addison starting Saturday, October 20th. Take in the culture of nearly 70 countries without leaving Texas. More than 25,000 people are expected to experience the culture of Asia, Africa, Europe and more.
This annual event is perfect for the entire family to enjoy. Experience the world through  food, art, dance, music and more.
I’m most excited about tasting the food from all the different countries. From Little Italy to Turkfest, each will represent it’s culture through food and drink. Little Italy Dallas will be on hand with all their favorite Italian dishes. While you are there ask about their recipe of the month — Â cannolis. Â It makes a great dessert!
There is also a full schedule of children’s activities and festivals. The WorldFest Children’s Activities & Global games teaches kids about different cultures through hands-on arts & crafts and games from around the world.  What a great opportunity to create items from around the world like  frescos, African masks, Japanese fans, henna tattoos, face painting and a lot more.  It’s a great history lesson for kids interested in learning about different cultures around the world.
