My boys didn’t complain about tagging along.
The day started off with a tour of Great Wolf Lodge. I hadn’t realized how much things had changed since our last stay.
The lower floor has had a makeover. It is brighter, more open and family-friendlier. I noticed how different the arcade appeared. It is now open to the walkway which they call Main Street. The arcade is also now open 24 hours a day.
Other changes include the addition of 4 movies showing at the Howlywood XD Theater and a life-size spy game, Lazer Frenzy.
The changes aren’t just downstairs. There is now a character breakfast each morning, Wake Up with Wiley and Friends. That is where this picture was taken. Wiley and Violet were more than accommodating in their willingness to pose for photography.
The characters are more available and the cast is expanding. Oliver the Raccoon joined the Great Wolf team this spring. Trading cards with the character’s stories are now a part of the Great Wolf Lodge experience.
New movies, games, arcade facelifts and character breakfasts are all amazing, but it was one of the other changes that enchanted my boys…

It had been nearly 8 months since my last visit to Great Wolf Lodge, so I was excited to be invited along with some local bloggers to spend the day.
