We went to the apple orchard this week.

We saw a lake inhabited by beavers.

We saw baby chicks.

We saw colorful flowers.

We saw hay bales.

And then we saw our cousin.

And then we got silly.

Apples? I don’t recall if we saw any.

Go have more fun hosted by Lotus.

  1. Apples! Apples!! We don’t need no, good for you and healthy, luscious, juicy, keep the Dr away, APPLES!

So did you find your former “pet” beavers out there?

  2. Holly, you mind reader! Here it is close to 11 PM. I’m thinking that it is a real shame that Holly doesn’t host her potlucks until Monday because I could use a late night snack right now. And then I wonder if you might have Sunday night snacks to go along with your Monday potlucks, and here you are offering apples. You might just be the best host in the blogosphere. Thank you.
And did you know that apples are genetically complex, like children? If you plant a seed, you might get a decorative apple, an edible apple, a green apple, etc. It wasn’t until the Chinese figured out grafting that they could predict what apples they would get. So, how fitting that you picture children under the heading of apple. (And no, I’m not really proud of the fact that I know that. I do not know why so many inane facts stick up there.)
