Potlucks are on MondaysToday marks the return of potluck. I mean it just doesn’t seem like Monday without one… Potlucks are swell. *the world sighs in relief and happiness* Oh!   I guess this would be where the potluck ACTUALLY begins. details.   details. Welcome! Shameless Self PromotionThis week I am really excited to participate in a blogging extravaganza this week with Christina over at A Closet Writer. She even gave me a fancy title… Blogging Maven. She had me at the fancy title. Please check out all the fun.   There is going to be tons of blogging-related information from the fellow mavens, Missy, Kelley, Liz, Crystal, and I will be posting over at the Business 2 Blogger blog when it is my turn…so much fun! And now for a little storyA week ago I went to the NASCAR race at Texas Motor Speedway (thanks Chevy!) and before my big driving experience, blog-Stedman and I walked around the pre-race festivities. One of the things we were excited to hear was a mini-concert on the AAA Stage by Asleep at the Wheel.   We both love the music and no self-respecting Texan can keep walking when Miles and Miles of Texas is played. That would be wrong. We stopped and listened and really liked the female singer, Elizabeth McQueen, who has a beautiful retro-ish voice. Asleep at the Wheel playing a concert before NASCAR raceWhen we got home blog-Stedman downloaded a bunch of her music and found some of her videos on YouTube. My favorite is this one, You’re to Blame, which is impressively taken in one shot. And then in full stalker-mode, I found that she is a mommy blogger. I knew I liked that girl. She and her husband (Asleep at the Wheel drummer) and their baby live on the road out of a van and she blogs about their experience on Miles and Miles of Diapers. Let’s see who has won Nirvana Comment of the Week! There are two winners this week who both responded to You are NOT Chinese with things they have yelled at their kids… “I once had to tell my son to stop playing his drums with his banana peel.” – Momo Falifor the love of GOD “ don't lick the walls!Jenn B Usually all that is won is the worldwide bragging rights, but this week I have FOOD! It is a potluck after all. Both Momo Fali and Jenn B have won a Marie Callender’s Baked Meal (or a coupon to obtain one) courtesy of Marie Callenders Frozen Dinners.   Thanks Marie! And now without any further ado… Let’s take a look at what is in Holly’s fruit bowl. *the suspense has been horrific* Four wire sculptures of Star War-ish origins created by eldest Nirvana son in Art Class. Happy Monday everyone! May your Monday be one long amazing shot.

  1. Yay potluck is back!! I missed it so much that I didn’t even know I was missing it, until you pointed that out – somewhere up there… I’m sure it’s there, somewhere. Or maybe I’m just a stalker myself, now that would be wrong, wouldn’t it? 🙂 Glad to see that you have brought your potluck back to the table, it sure is good eats. 😀

  2. Hey a Holly! What a treat to be part of the potluck. I’m totally enjoying your blog! I’m scouring it right now for tips about how to deal with multiple kiddos. We’re gearing up!
