Since Christmas is almost here I have been listening to a lot of Christmas music. And I was singing ‘Carol of the Bells’ at the store when I saw Hershey Kisses and I had an idea!
And so, I brought home the Kisses and marked them and my kids were able to play this memory game which helps with cognitive skills like:
- Memory
- Focus
- Concentration
- Social Emotional Skills
- Patience
- Problem Solving
- Handling Winning/Losing
- Following The Rules
- Self-Esteem

How To Set Up This Silver Bells Memory Game
Step 1
Take the candies out of the bag and remove any that aren’t fully wrapped or the wrapper is damaged.
Step 2

Mark the bottoms with letters, numbers, and shapes.
How To Play This Memory Game
It’s super simple and like any other memory game.

You will simply line up the Hershey Kisses on the table or board.

Kids will take turn flipping 2 candies over.

If they match, they take them, if they don’t, they flip them back upright.
Whoever has the most matches wins! The fun thing is you can eat the candies after or play the game some more. It’s kind of a win-win!
Our Experience With This Silver Bells Game
My kids had a lot of fun with these. I won’t lie, we ate a lot of Hershey Kisses that day. Yes, it’s a lot of sugar, but it was a fun holiday game that we got to play together and quite frankly, I regret nothing.
We did have to make more game pieces later, but was worth it. My littlest one did get kind of frustrated, but it was a great way to teach them patience.
I hope your family has as much fun as mine did with this easy DIY memory game.
