Button Craft for kids: Make a Button Bracelet {so easy!}

Make a Button Bracelet

To make a button bracelet all you need are some buttons, a length of ribbon or elastic, and a pair of scissors. Depending on the size of the holes in your buttons, you may also need a sewing needle. The type of ribbon or cord that you use for threading the buttons will depend on the size of the holes in the buttons. You need the holes to be large enough for your ribbon to be threaded through! Either by hand, or with the assistance of a needle.

Easy Bracelets to Make

Weave the ribbon through the buttons, coming up from underneath the button, crossing over the top, and dipping back down again on the other side of the button as shown in the photo above. This will ensure that the buttons sit neatly side by side and the bracelet will sit comfortably flat on the wearer’s wrist. Once you have threaded on enough buttons for the length of your bracelet, tie the two ends of ribbon together and you’re done!

It’s fun to come up with unique patterns and designs!! Try experimenting with different sized buttons like we did, or use a mixture of patterned and plain buttons. You could even make a matching button necklace. These button bracelets are fun for both boys and girls. We made one in Spiderman colors as a gift for a friend of my son’s! He loved it.
