SEA LIFE Aquarium Grapevine OPENING July 12, 2011 in Grapevine, TX. This, my friends, is so exciting. Although, I must confess that I had no clue another aquarium was coming to Dallas-Ft. Worth. The SEA LIFE Aquarium is a two-story, 45,000 square-foot aquarium that houses over 30 displays of diverse marine life – from starfish to seahorses, sharks and rays to a giant sea turtle. A few other exciting features include: the opportunity to hold a crab or touch a starfish in their Interactive Rockpool Experience, feed shows and fun talks throughout the day, a children’s submarine-themed play zone, a kid quiz trail and the very anticipated Shark Walk. LEGOLAND ® Discovery Center is brand-spanking new and I am just overflowing with excitement that it is finally here. From birthday parties and educational adventures to rainy days out with the family, you will spend hours inside the world’s biggest box of LEGO ® bricks. Did I mention they have a special Adult Only Event Night ($19 – tickets at the door) where they have extended hours from 7p-9p? LEGOLAND ® is located inside Grapevine Mills Mall at 3000 Grapevine Mills Parkway, Grapevine, TX 97-539-9386.
Friday Fireworks is a 12-minute display that takes place every Friday over Lake Grapevine through 9/12/2011. The best viewing locations are your favorite lake parks or on top of the parking garage at the Gaylord Texan Resort (you may want to call ahead to see if you have to be a guest at the resort to view from this location). For those ages 21 and up, the fireworks show can also be seen up close from the decks of the Glass Cactus Nightclub! (Standard parking fees and nightclub cover charges apply).
Don’t forget the 29th Annual Fireworks Extravaganza Over Lake Grapevine on Monday, July 4th at 9:30pm. Fireworks will be launched off the shores of Oak Grove Park at 9:30 p.m. Check out the directions and music map for more details about the event, including where to park.
Grapevine Market has a broad range of items to browse among, including the finest handmade jewelry, unique home dÃ©cor, quality antiques, and more.
