An extra hour.

What would you do if magically today had 25 hours?

At first I thought I would insert that extra hour in the middle of the night. One more blissful hour of sleep would definitely be something that I would cherish.

Then I thought that would be a waste to put that precious 60 minutes in the dark of night so I considered adding it in the evening for extra time to take a leisurely walk around the neighborhood with my family.

That sounds fabulous, but I usually make time for that anyway. I think I will use the hour for something rare.

I want to use the hour for coffee in the morning. I know that seems like a big waste of an hour, but I would like to sit on the back porch sipping and staring. No agenda except making another cup of coffee…or two.

The ultimate goal is to eliminate that huge stack of paper on your kitchen counter.   That huge stack of paper on your kitchen counter will be transformed into a place that you can access from anywhere in an organized way.

My husband has paid the bills for years online.   We use Quicken’s online bill pay service.   It costs $10 a month and we enter the bills we receive in the mail and they get paid electronically.

He signed us up for Manilla last night for these reasons:

  • To decrease the crazy large amount of mail we receive daily.   The mailbox won’t be full of bills!
  • Manilla is free.
  • Our Manilla account can be accessible even when we are on vacation.

So, we will see how it goes!

Just eliminating a good portion of the mail will get my extra hour a day…and that cup of coffee!
