wildflowers 600x350Family Saturdays are a public program that the Botanical Research Institute of Texas (BRIT) offers to encourage families to explore our campus and to learn together about that day's topic. ย  The first Family Saturday will be held on Saturday, June 11th from 10:00 – 2:00 (come and go as you please). ย  The event’s theme is, “Exploring Your Prairie Heritage.” Families will learn about our local prairie plants and animals by visiting these activity stations:
  • Prairie Survival Game
  • Data Collecting at BRIT's Pocket Prairie
  • Guided Plant Walk
  • Meet the Scientist
  • Interactive Prairie Mural
  • Making Seed Balls
  • Literacy Station
  • Green from the Ground Up exhibition
