wildflowers 600x350Family Saturdays are a public program that the Botanical Research Institute of Texas (BRIT) offers to encourage families to explore our campus and to learn together about that day's topic.   The first Family Saturday will be held on Saturday, June 11th from 10:00 – 2:00 (come and go as you please).   The event’s theme is, “Exploring Your Prairie Heritage.” Families will learn about our local prairie plants and animals by visiting these activity stations:
  • Prairie Survival Game
  • Data Collecting at BRIT's Pocket Prairie
  • Guided Plant Walk
  • Meet the Scientist
  • Interactive Prairie Mural
  • Making Seed Balls
  • Literacy Station
  • Green from the Ground Up exhibition
