Family Saturdays are a public program that the Botanical Research Institute of Texas (BRIT) offers to encourage families to explore our campus and to learn together about that day's topic. ย The first Family Saturday will be held on Saturday, June 11th from 10:00 – 2:00 (come and go as you please). ย The event’s theme is, “Exploring Your Prairie Heritage.” Families will learn about our local prairie plants and animals by visiting these activity stations:
- Prairie Survival Game
- Data Collecting at BRIT's Pocket Prairie
- Guided Plant Walk
- Meet the Scientist
- Interactive Prairie Mural
- Making Seed Balls
- Literacy Station
- Green from the Ground Up exhibition
