School is back in session (or will be soon) and that means that school shopping is in full swing.
Now, you might be tempted to buy all the new school products but if you happen to come across the new Elmer’s Scented Glue Sticks – put them down! Here’s why…
Teachers are BEGGING parents to not buy these scented glue sticks and with one good reason – children may be tempted to smell and/or eat them in class.

Well, that seems like a good enough reason for me!
Many teachers are saying items like these not only distract learning (because kids are smelling them) but younger kids may think they smell good enough to eat (yuck).
So, teachers everywhere are literally asking and begging parents to please not send these scented glue sticks or even scented markers to school with their kids.
And of course, do not donate these items to your child’s class.
Honestly, it entirely makes sense. You want your child in school to learn, not be distracted or sent home for eating glue sticks.
So, just stick to the regular Elmer’s Glue Sticks and make the year great for teachers everywhere! And if you really want these Elmer’s Scented Glue Sticks maybe buy them and keep them at home.
