The Disney+ series The Mandalorian swept the streaming world by storm and quickly became the top TV show in the world in less than a month, and I am sure Mandalorian Season 2 will be no different.
The show even topped popular shows like Stranger Things and is considered on of the most in-demand shows in the world. It seems everyone can’t get enough of Baby Yoda.
Regardless the reason you watch it (Baby Yoda), we are excited to announce, or remind you, that season 2 is coming!
Everything You Need To Know About Mandalorian Season 2
Everyone knew a new season was coming, and everyone was eagerly awaiting, but now we know more than just the date like: cast, plot, calendar, and everything else you need to know.
When To Watch The Mandalorian Season 2?
The release date is October 30, so mark your calendars if haven’t already. It is being released both in the US and the UK and there shouldn’t be a delay for the UK like there was with The Mandalorian Season 1.
Everyone was worried about delays due to Covid-19, but Jon Favreau had told everyone they had completed a lot of the filming and photography before the shutdowns happened. What a relief!
After launch The Mandalorian will follow a weekly release schedule.
Mandalorian Release Schedule
There are 8 episodes that will be released weekly over the next couple of months.

- The Mandalorian S2E2: November 6th

The Cast Of The Mandelorian Season 2
There have been so many rumors and back and forth about who will be in it and who won’t. But while everything has been kind of tight-lipped, we do have some information about who will be in it.
Who Will Be Starring?
Names that have been officially released to star in the show are Pedro Pascal, who of course plays the Mandalarian, Carl Weathers who is the bounty hunter boss known as Greef Karga, and Gina Carano who is a super fierce ex-soldier known as Cara Dune.
Who Else Will Be Making Appearances?
The Aliens actor Michael Biehn will also be in The Mandelorian this season. He will be playing another bounty hunter, one from Mando’s past.
Think that’s exciting? Just wait!
Most known for her role in Battlestar Galactica, Katee Sackhoff will also be appearing in The Mandalorian. She will be a Mandalorian warrior named Bo-Katan Kryze, the same character she played in the Clone Wars and Rebels animated series.
Timothy Olyphant, best known in Justifed and one of my favorite actors, will also be making an appearance in the show. Unfortunately we don’t know too much about his character.
Temuera Morrison will also be making an appearance. This brings up so many questions like…Will Boba Fett be back?
And of course, the adorable Baby Yoda will be back. Let’s be honest, he is what makes the show.
What Is Season 2 of The Mandalorian About?
Season 1 left us with a lot of questions like who was the “Client?” We also need more answers about Baby Yoda’s past and have so many questions about his future!
We have to call him Baby Yoda, because we literally have nothing to go on and know nothing of the baby’s identity. As much as we’d like to dig into Yoda’s species, there is not much said about them in the original canon.
Even “Wookieepedia” says:
“The species to which the legendary Jedi Grand Master Yoda belonged was ancient and shrouded in mystery. Members of this species were rarely seen anywhere in the galaxy. The few members of this species seen in the galaxy were all Force-sensitive, and the species’ home world and name is unknown.”
The Plot Of Mandalorian Season 2
Unfortunately don’t know too much about the plot. While we want to see more about Baby Yoda and learn more about the rich history of the Mandalorian, we do know we will see more of the mysterious black lightsaber that Moff Gideon brandished.
The actor Giancarlo Esposito told “Deadline“:
“You’ll see more of the darksaber, you’ll get an explanation of this ancient weapon to the modern world, a collapsed world.”
He then added:
“The saber is key to Moff Gideon’s past, which possibly has a lot to do with where he comes from and his desire to build a planet and bring it back together.”
Ginancarlo Esposito then told “Entertainment Tonight” in a different interview that:
“It also creates the possibility that he is one of the ones. He possibly has that, and that to me is interesting because is he really that fallen hero? Is he a descendant of Darth Vader? Who is he? What does he want? He knows all about everything, and you’ll have to wait to find out.”
So many questions! But we will find out soon enough.
Anything Else You Need To Know?
The Mandalorian season 3 has already been confirmed! Jon Favreau has revealed they are on schedule to start production for season 3 already.
Season 3 is supposed to start production before the end of the year as long as Covid-19 permits.
