There are plenty of cool backyard play sets you could purchase for your kids, but one dad has taken the idea of a fun backyard to the Jurassic level.

Matthew Cosman, thecauseman on Imgur, built the most amazing dinosaur themed play set for his kids and installed it in his backyard.  And it’s not just a dinosaur themed, it is literally a 48 foot long dinosaur they can play on!

Cosman’s Imgur account is filled with amazing projects, but this dinosaur is simply amazing.  He created it using scraps and items he saved over the years with this idea in mind, yielding what might have been a life size dino!

In case an actual life size dinosaur in your backyard doesn’t already make you the best house on the block, Cosman’s dinosaur actually incorporates play equipment for the kids to use too.

The tail is reinforced to hold four swings, one side of the dinosaur features a climbing wall, monkey bar rings line the neck, and a slide winds down from the dinosaur’s back.

The second side of the dinosaur holds climbing ropes and ladders, a platform to play on, and another route to the top which features yet another play platform.

And if all that still isn’t enough, the dinosaur is painted to look realistic and outfitted with LED lights for night time play.  How absolutely awesome is this?

How talented would you have to be to dream up this dinosaur and then build it too?

I know I definitely want a play set like that in my backyard, or at least a neighbor with one so I can social distance at their house and enjoy the dinosaur!
