Gerber announced today that they have a winner in their 10th annual Photo Search Spokesbaby Contest and she is just too cute for words.
Baby Magnolia Earl was chosen from over 300,000 entries in this year’s contest and judges loved “her joyful expression, playful smile and warm, engaging gaze.” She turns a year old this week.
Magnolia lives in California with her parents and her two older sisters, and has a special story to share. All three girls joined their family by adoption, with Magnolia arriving just about a year ago.
Her mom, Courtney, shares that they received a phone from their adoption agency from an expectant mom already in labor and wished to talk to them. They quickly connected with the birth parents and within hours, baby Magnolia was born.
The Gerber Photo Search was a way for Courtney to share their family’s story, as well as how families can be created:
“Adoption is incredibly special to our family’s story. Winning Photo Search is an opportunity to tell Magnolia’s story and shed light on all the beautiful and different ways families are made.”
Bill Partyka, president and CEO of Gerber, agrees:
“At a time when we are yearning for connection and unity, Magnolia and her family remind us of the many things that bring us together: our desire to love and be loved, our need to find belonging, and our recognition that family goes way beyond biology.”
Magnolia is making history as the first adopted Gerber baby. She and her family will receive several prizes, and she will be the new face of Gerber this year. It’s definitely the cutest little face you could ask for.
