This Distillery Is Giving Away House-Made, 80-Percent-Alcohol Hand Sanitizer and They Are Heroes
Not all heroes wear capes, some just brew some delicious beer and spirits and call it a day. Well, turns out those are the types of heroes we need right now! In fact, This Distillery Is Giving Away House-Made, 80-Percent-Alcohol Hand Sanitizer and they are here to save the day.
Shine Distillery, a restaurant and spirit producer in Oregon has decided to do what they can to combat those germ infested hands by making their own version of what would be a hand sanitizer.
I say “would be” because they legally cannot make any health claims regarding their product BUT it is within the recommend range of the 60 percent alcohol guideline of effective hand sanitizers set by the CDC. So, ya know, it totally works.
The company has begun taking its high-proof initial product and turning it into something like a hand sanitizer. Normally, their methyl alcohol-heavy product would be thrown away, but since the company has been using it as a cleaner for drains and windows, they figured the product could work in a new way.
Oh, and it cannot be sold (another legal loop hole) which is why they decided to GIVE it away for FREE to customers. This is while supplies last of course.
So, if you find yourself in need of hand sanitizer, now is the time to make a trip to Oregon to visit Shine Distillery. You’re welcome!
