If you were browsing your Facebook feed today you probably came across a post claiming that Costco is giving away free $75 coupons to everyone! And if you thought, it sounds too good to be true – it was.
The coupon circulating looked like this:
Again, why would Costco really give away $75 off coupons to everyone? Seems a bit farfetched but for those that believed it, Costco just confirmed via Facebook that the $75 coupon is indeed a scam. Costco posted on Facebook earlier saying:
Despite several posts out there, Costco is NOT giving away $75 coupons. While we love our fans and our members, this offer is a SCAM, and in no way affiliated with Costco. Thanks to our fans for letting us know about this recurring hoax!
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it’s true… If you did happen to click on the link, hopefully you did not give out any personal information in order to obtain the coupon. But, keep in mind this coupon cannot be redeemed and Costco won’t be accepting them in-store.
