It is no secret that summer months are dreadfully hot so much, that we all carry around some sort of water bottle. But, if you happened to have purchased a new one for your kids this summer, you might want to check it… Costco Has Recalled 5.7 Million Kids’ Water Bottles, Here’s What You Need to Know… The recalled kids’ water bottles are the Contigo branded bottles. 5.7 million children’s water bottles sold in the U.S have been recalled due to a choking hazard. These water bottles are sold at major retailers such as Costco, Walmart and Target. The recall was issued by Contigo to the Consumer Product Safety Commission on August 27, 2019. The hazard was described as:
“The water bottle’s clear silicone spout can detach, posing a choking hazard to children.”

This recall involves Contigo Kids Cleanable water bottles. The base and cover of the clear silicon spout will always be BLACK.

Only black color spout base and spout cover models are included in this recall. Contigo is printed on the rim and along the front near the bottom of the bottle. The water bottles come in three sizes (13 ounce, 14 ounce and 20 ounce) and four bottle colors (solid color, graphics, stainless steel and stainless steel solid colors). The water bottles were sold individually as well as in two-packs and three-packs.

So, if you have one of these bottles for your children, you can contact Contigo for a free lid replacement.
