One of the benefits of home-schooling (and let me clarify that I only partial home-school my kids…that is enough for me), are the “Home School Days” that various DFW venues offer. We always go to the one at the Fort Worth Zoo. Today we went to Home School Day at Six Flags. I finally broke down and purchased the season tickets.   It wasn’t nearly as painful as I expected…they are running a special through the end of the month where season tickets are $49.99.   Basically, if we go one more time this summer we have paid for it. I think I can arrange that! My youngest is large enough to do all the Looney Tunes land rides and the Mini Mine Train.   Since he learned today that he is a big rollercoaster fan, we ended up on the Mini Mine Train too many times in a row to count. The crowds were light enough to minimally wait in lines. The weather was warm, but not Texas oppressive. Overall a very fun day. Here are a few pictures from our day…click on the photo below to see them via whrrl.

  2. Seriously, did you hear me talking about Six Flags at the Spa Day? We buy passes every year and we love to go when it’s not very crowded, usually on Mondays. Friday nights are good too. We should totally hook up and get our crew together… that might be mahem though! ha ha
