- Use binoculars and find birds
- Make a bird feeder
- Collect feathers
- Make an artwork with feathers
- Feed ducks at a local pond
- Compare the bones of a chicken and a cow. Which is heavier? Which is smaller? Why is one lighter and smaller?
- Take two papertowels. Spread shortening on one. Then pour water over the towels? Discuss how feathers protect birds against water and the elements.
