Cozi. I signed up and today is the first day of my new effort at organization. I ™m going to follow up in a month and let you know how it's going. Until then, Viva Cozi!
I had a realization today as I read the first section of the book Blink, by Malcolm Gladwell. I ™m not the most organized person, though I really try. If someone–a stranger –were to come into my home, within minutes, they ™d be able to tell quite a lot about me, and a lot of it would point straight to my lack of organization.
Now, there's nothing I can do about the piles of papers that are a continual struggle in our household. 5 kids, all in school, leads to mounds and mounds of paper. That's another topic altogether.
But in my realization that my house is a window into who I am and how I live my life, I immediately went in search of ways to aid my organization. I found the coolest tool, and the best news is that it's FREE!

It's called Welcome to Kids Activities!
My name is Holly Homer & I am the Dallas mom of three boys…
I LOVE Cozi! Been using it about a year, and love that I can color code everyone’s schedule and I have it set up to automatically email everyone in my household with the week’s schedule.
That way, if I say to Hubby, “You have to pick Junior up from the ballpark at 5” and 4:30 comes along and he thinks, “hmmmm, I know I’m supposed to be somewhere doing something soon, what the heck was it?” I no longer get those SOS phone calls!
Hi Burbmom,
Before you get too tied to Cozi, I’d like to invite you to try Plumlife.com. We are also an online calendar tool, developed for busy families. A couple of things that sets us apart: 1) You can communicate with babysitters, car poolers and other members of the family through the calendar and 2) our great mapping feature, which allows you to see your errands and evens on a map. We also a Dallas based start-up. Hope you’ll give us a look!
cheers,
Sarah
I recently discovered Cozi too. I had been using Yahoo calendar for so long because it was online and I could access it from anywhere.
Then, I discovered Cozi! I love that I can color code each family member, send shopping lists via text to my phone, etc.
I’ve only been using it a few weeks, but so far so good!
Gail, your site is great! I am giving Cozi a shot because it’s free! Blis looks really good, but I’d prefer not to pay the annual fee. Not sure I need someone else’s help to get organized to the tune of my hard earned $$!
So far so good with Cozi!
Haven’t tried it yet, but I know a ton of moms who would love something like this. I think I’ll Digg your post, too!
I am a big fan of Cozi, too. Although for my clients we try and find what works best for them individually. I wrote a post on this a few weeks ago.
Maybe this will help Misa find something that will work for her!

I’m only bummed that the very cool looking collage feature can’t be used on a mac…and I’m a mac girl!! Still, the rest is cool and though my desk is still cluttered, I feel more organized inside. =)
