It has been really good for us to concentrate on increasing our attention to all things teeth.
In the past, I have been concerned that the kids’ brushing technique was a little…lacking. I have fallen in LOVE with LISTERINE ® Smart Rinse because it gives them a second chance at each brushing to decrease plaque.
Initially, I was worried that the rinse would be just another mess in the sink, but it is super simple.
The rinse is squeezed up into the neck of the bottle {instead of poured into a cap}.
This is HUGE. Even my 6 year old can use it properly without spilling.
The other thing I found helped was to get each boy their own bottle. Now they have a toothbrush and a rinse together in their bathroom basket. This has decreased the sharing-the-bathroom-angst.
The boys have all embraced the additional step of using LISTERINE ® Smart Rinse because they like the way it tastes.
As for me, my dentist will be so proud. I have regularly flossed and used LISTERINE ® Antiseptic Rinse at least twice a day. Once I was used to the new routine, it was easy to squeeze in an extra minute. I also felt like my teeth were much cleaner.
We are going to continue with the challenge.
It is a win-win situation.
