It’s Playtime – Brain Building Activities

It’s Playtime is one of my favorite traditions! Each Thursday I get to feature my favorite play-time posts – as linked up in our weekly kids meme. Are you looking for something fun to do between meals and gluttony over this Thanksgiving weekend? Maybe some of these brain-building activities will keep your kids occupied and having fun.

Take a Paper Towel Tube and have experiments to see what size and types of items will fit through the tube. Gratefully Growing in Grace had fun going on a color hunt with her kids and putting only “orange” items down her tube.

Here are some great instructions on how to create your own “On-the-Go Geoboard“. Joyce and her blog Dinosaurs and Octopuses is quickly becoming a favorite.

Scrap wood can become treasured outdoor toys. Allison and her kids had fun creating roads out of planks of wood in her back yard.
