  1. When you’re 12, you need a purse stuffed with 10,000 bits of essential garbage.

Am I peep of the week again? Where have I been? I think I’m about due for a tiara or something.

  2. And God forbid you leave the house without them. You can bet you’ll be turning that minivan around to get those essentials.

  3. I know you know this, but one day he will not need all that stuff. My girls used to sleep with so many stuffed animals on their bed that you couldn’t even see them. Now they sleep with nothing. It makes me kind of sad.

And clearly he is ready to help lego men everywhere.

  4. Ya know, my kiddo started sleeping better after I read your post about him needing three blankets, three pacis and three animals. Now Alex sleeps with: Cat, Eeyore, Bear, Tantrum (blanket) and Winda (blanket). I have to name each of them as I tuck him in. 🙂

  5. Ah for my son, it is trains. Always with Thomas the Train (or whatever friend of Thomas) still at 4 + he doesn’t leave home without them. (Hey, wait, that sounds like the commercial). Also, don’t leave home without extra pullups and wipes…I know, sad but true.

  6. i love the leggo ladder…so essential. much easier to reach for the stars when you carry a ladder with you!

  7. This is so true. I can’t leave the house with my boys without a ten pound purse full of cars and trains. It’s annoyng, but NOT as annoying as not having them. They are needed for survival.
