The boys have been discussing living arrangements. The older boys are pretty sure that they will all live together when they are adults and might live next door to me.

boy discusses where he will live when he grows up

I am pretty sure they might find girls they like better than their brothers and these plans will dissolve in the name of love. Not brotherly love. Rhett(4) and I had the following discussion tonight as he took a bath: Rhett:   I think when I get older I am going to make things out of Legos and sell them. Me:   That sounds like a fun job. I will find people who aren’t part of our family to buy them. OK. If they aren’t in our family, they will have to pay money. Yes.   You could sell your Lego creations. All the Legos would be here at home.   I could use those. Whoa.   How old will you be when you do this? Adult. You won’t be living at home if you are an adult. Why? Because you will have a family of your own.   You can build your Legos there. I think I will still live here with you, mom and daddy. No.   I am an adult and I don’t live with grandma and grandpa even though they are my mom and dad. Then I think I will live with grandma and grandpa.

  1. that is precious! i love talking about this stuff with my boys. it is so funny to hear what they want to be when they grow up and one of my 4 yr olds says he is never going to have a girlfriend or a wife- he only loves me!

    cracks me up!

  2. I love how their little minds work! Sometimes it would be fun to go live with grandma though wouldn’t it? 🙂 I’m so glad you stopped by my blog! My inlaws are here because we’re going to the game tomorrow! Wave at the Oklahoma section. We’ll be wearing our Husker red with pride! I will be back when I have a little more time.

  3. This is so funny! I think your son is brilliant for suggesting that he stay with the grandparents. My little girl asked me to call her Grandma yesterday because she was ready to go to her house now. Sure enough, the week is over and right after preschool she escaped to Grandma’s.

I really love your site! You’re a super busy mama. Pass some of your energy my way, please.

  4. I don’t know….my sister is an adult and she lives with her parents….Let’s just hope he’s better at paying his bills than she is. 🙂
