Free Vision Screenings for Kids

In today’s economy, money is tight for everyone and we have to cut back where we can.

But a child’s vision is important.   Poor eyesight can affect their school work, cause headaches, and of course cause concern for their safety if they clearly see details in the world around them. I know you’re saying, “Yes, but eye exams and glasses are expensive and there just isn’t room in the budget for it.” Kids Vision Fest is here to help! Kids Vision Fest will provide free vision screenings, eye exams, and glasses for children age 5-12 who qualify.   Kids Vision Fest is not restricted to children in Tarrant County. Those in surrounding counties are welcome.

She Is Dallas Info:   Kids Vision Fest will take place on Friday, February 3, 2012, 11 a.m. “ 3 p.m.   This is a student holiday for Fort Worth ISD.   The screenings are FREE OF CHARGE and will be held at Tarrant County College Trinity River Campus, 300 Trinity Campus Circle, Fort Worth, TX (formerly 300 RadioShack Circle).   Free parking will be available in the former subway parking lot located on N. In addition to the vision screenings, you and your family can enjoy educational activities,entertainment, games, giveaways and more. TO QUALIFY: Free eye exams and glasses will be provided ONLY to children, ages 5 “ 12, who need them based on screening results and qualify based on certain income guidelines.     Students who bring vision referrals from school nurses will be given priority on a first-come, first-serve basis.   To move quickly through the line, have your school nurse fill out the bottom portion of this form and bring it to the event or bring a copy of the vision referral letter you received from your school. The mission of Kids Vision Fest to eliminate poor vision and its lifelong consequences.
