Here’s what you’ll need to make this easy sandwich recipe.
- 1 can Hunt’s Manwich Barbecue Sloppy Joe Sauce
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1-2 packages Pillsbury Crescent rolls

Step 1
Prepare the Manwich Barbecue Sloppy Joe sauce with the ground beef according to the directions stated on the can.
Step 2
Flatten 1 can of Crescent roll dough out on a cooking stone or other baking pan and cut the outer 1/3rd on each side into 1-inch strips.
Step 3
Place the Barbecue filling down the middle 1/3rd.
Step 4
Alternate folding the 1-inch dough strips in to form a braid.
Step 5
Bake at 350 heat until the crescent roll is done, about 15 to 20 minutes.
Step 6
Once done, cut into pieces and eat!
I usually make this recipe with one crescent roll package because that feeds my family and I have a little filling leftover. If you wanted to use all the filling then two would work out and they would just be a little less filled.

We make the yogurt fruit smoothies all the time, If you cant keep fresh fruit in the house, canned works good too! Thanks for all the great ideas, We have a family reunion Labor day weekend and I have to bring something for the BBQ, this is perfect!
Try the same technique but with cream cheese and strawberry preserves (or another flavor of your choice) instead of the sloppy joe filling. A great (and easy!) breakfast treat for company.
I’ve never thought about a meat-pie type filling. I think I’ll try it, but with ground turkey because that’s what I buy most often now. Thanks for the idea!
