Start with a crisp dollar bill. Fold lengthwise.
Step 2
Fold in half to the right.
Step 3
Open the last fold. Fold both sides to meet in the middle.
Step 4
Take the right side and fold it to half to the right edge.
Step 5
Repeat the last step on the left side of the bill.
Step 6
Flip the bill over.
Step 7
Take the right side and fold it to the middle line.
Step 8
Take the left side and fold it to the middle line.
Step 9
Carefully, fold the whole bill backward.
Step 10
Press down. Open it and you’ll have an accordion fold.
Step 11
Put that accordion-folded dollar bill away, and take the second bill. Fold it lengthwise. Open.
Step 12
Fold both the upper and bottom parts of the bill to the middle line, leaving a small gap between both.
Step 13
Fold crosswise in the middle.
Step 14
Take the first bill and place it in the middle of the crease of the second bill, as shown in the picture.
Step 15
Using the folded bill inside the outer bill as a reference for length, accordion fold the remaining part of the outer bill on the left side. Make the last fold a little bit shorter. Press firmly.
Step 16
Repeat on the right side.
Step 17
Separate both bills.
Step 18
On the second bill, reverse fold each crease until you reach halfway.
Step 19
Repeat on the other end of the bill.
Step 20
Insert the first bill’s left side inside the left side of the second bill. These will be our book’s pages.
Step 21
Insert the right side of the first bill on the right side of the second bill.
Step 22
Follow the folds of the outer bill around the first bill, until the cover of the dollar bill origami book is done.
