chance to get to know Chuck E. Cheese’s a little better. A big thank you to chance to get to know Chuck E. Cheese’s for sponsoring this site.
I knew it well when my kids were little, or I thought I did.
And when I retuned this year, I found that Chuck E. Cheese’s had undergone a food makeover. In fact, their pizza was preferred more than 60% in a nationwide blind taste test.* And it isn’t just “kid pizza”. My favorite, Cali Alfredo, includes spinach, creamy alfredo sauce, sausage, mushrooms and chicken.
My boys realized that they were MUCH better at many of their favorite Chuck E. Cheese’s games now that they are older and more coordinated which means more tickets.
Isn’t it always about the tickets?
My kids go to school 1/2 time and are homeschooled on the other days. We decided that if everyone worked on their studies diligently in the morning, we would take a trip to Chuck E. Cheese’s for lunch.
Homework got done!
We got to the restaurant around 1 pm. We only had to share the entire place with two other families! The boys were thrilled to have their choice of games while the pizza we ordered baked.
We looked over the All-You-Can-Eat Buffet, but decided to order pizzas since we wanted to have some leftovers for later.
We ordered a pepperoni, cheese and Cali Alfredo along with some soft drinks and a Cinnamon Dessert Pizza. There are other food choices such as traditional and boneless wings, wraps, cheesy bread, pretzel bites, salad bar and more, but we really like the pizza.
My husband and I sat down in a booth and chatted for awhile. While he went to join the boys in their quest for game dominance, I was able to answer a few emails and messages.
Everyone came running when the hot pizzas arrived!
It is really good.
Like, I would go there for just the pizza!
This was the first time I had tried the dessert pizza and it was yummy. It is definitely something that we will order again.
The boys had a few tokens left and went through the fun house. One of the things that is really cool about the fun house is that it has cameras inside so parents can see what is going on in there!
And then the big decisions…what to buy with won tickets?
A few prizes were chosen with much deliberation and pockets were filled with candy and trinkets.
We headed home after the much enjoyed lunch break.
*In a recent nationwide blind taste test, more than 60 percent of people expressing a preference chose Chuck E. Cheese’s Thin & Crispy pepperoni pizza over Pizza Hut’s ® Thin and Crispy pepperoni pizza. This is the second time #WeOutPizzaTheHut in a blind taste test, since the restaurant’s Thin & Crispy pizza rolled out nationwide two years ago.
