With Spring rains we need LOTS of ideas of rain activities to occupy the kids when the weather is less than ideal. Thanks to everyone who added their posts to last week’s kid activities blog hop, It’s Playtime.   I love browseing all of your posts!   Today’s featured collection was inspired by the activities over at Sun Hats and Wellie boots (love that blog!).   She collected 20 different ideas of ways to play in the rain.   Included on her blog is another bloghop with TONS of other blogs rainy day activities.   Bookmark it! . Rain Activities:

Go on a bike ride – the fellas of Happy Little Messes had a blast biking in the puddles. Don’t want to get wet?   Make, Do & Friend has a great sensory tub idea to play with rain indoors. Make dirt soup with the Quirky Kids. Make a home for the worms.   We love hunting for worms when its Raining, so did Jena’s boys. Rainy Day Mum made a Toddler Rain Catcher with her kids.   My kids would love to measure the rain! This last feature wasn’t about rain per se, but I remember recreating “rain” with my kids in the past using shaving cream and food dye – just like At Home with Ali. Make a wind vane to learn about the directions of winds (and see if you can find trends in the types of storms and wind direction).   Thanks Kitchen Counter Chronicles. . Rain Activities2 . Looking for more outdoor activities?   Check out this list of 30 different Activities – thanks Roots of Simplicity! . Happy linking up your favorite kids activities for another week of It’s Playtime!   A reminder:   All posts should be about activities you can do with your kids.   By linking up you give us permission to feature you and grab a photo from your blog.   Also, we will add you to our Playtime email reminder.
