Baby Bok Choy ingredients

Here’s what you need to make this easy bok choy recipe.

  • 4 baby bok choy, plan on 1-2 full bok choy per person
  • zest from one small orange or clementine
  • sea salt and pepper to taste
  • avocado oil, or olive oil

Step 1

Thoroughly wash the bok choy-including the inside portions and then gently pat dry.

Step 2

Slice evenly in half and drizzle with a bit of avocado oil and dust with the sea salt and pepper.

Step 3

Let rest for a few minutes while you heat your pan. I used a large flat cast iron pan with a little more avocado oil spread across the surface.

Step 4

When it is ready, zest citrus over the cut side of the bok choy and then place the cut side down onto the skillet.

Step 5

Add a sprinkle of water and quickly cover all of the vegetables. This will help steam them and cook them more quickly.

Step 6

Cook for about 2-3 minutes depending on the bok choy size and how hot your pan is.

Step 7

Carefully remove the bok choy with tongs and enjoy!
