I know!
I know!
One of my New Year’s Resolutions was to consistently provide the potluck experience here at the Nirvana, yet it has been a bit absent.
Oooops!
The truth is that I can’t reveal WHAT I have been up to, but I have been busy. In fact, I have been busy writing for THIS VERY website.
*the girl is crazy*
And so, with this potluck I will make the bold prediction that it will be followed by a month’s worth of potlucks!
*the girl is REALLY crazy*
Whoa turns to Whoo hoo!
Last year I became addicted to Netflix.
Yes, I was about 18 months behind the times.
Anyway, I watched myself silly through 90 episodes of 30 Rock.
Yes, I was only about 6 seasons behind.
And then when I finished those I felt so empty. Oh, I tried filling the void with random movies and trials of TV shows, but nothing could make me giggle.
Until I was encouraged to purchase Modern Family on iTunes.
Once again, I fell in love with watching TV.
Yes, I was a few seasons behind.
And then when I caught up with the real life TV schedule, I felt empty again.
Until I found Downton Abbey on Netflix.
Yes, for once I am only a few episodes behind!
I could just dance {or waltz} for joy! It is like Sense & Sensibility meets Law & Order. How I could move into the Abbey…
either upstairs OR downstairs...I wouldn’t even care.
Each night I couldn’t wait to watch the next episode.
Until the 8th night I sat down ONLY to realize there were ONLY 7 episodes in the first season.
*hold me*
And then I found this season on iTunes…so I am rationing them.
It is marvelous. If you aren’t watching, you really should…you aren’t too far behind!
Oh, Pinterest…
how can you hold me so?
It is because of things like this…
This pin is from
Rooms for the Revolution – which has some really nice rooms. Revolutionary, in fact. Anyway, I am a pro-stained glass kinda girl and this is just amazing.
This is just one of MANY incredible art installations on my
Art for Me board, if ya care to follow.
Last week marked a MONUMENTAL occasion in the history of Holly’s blogging.
*dramatic pause*
My husband {aka blog-Stedman} wrote a series of articles! As you know, he doesn’t READ my blog {because he lives it} and so when I
begged asked him to write this, I was so excited when he said YES.
He has written his list of
Top 10 Board Games for Families which is running 3x a week over the next few weeks at Quirky Momma. We are a little on the board game geeky side, so whether you are gamers or just looking for something fun to play with your kids, there will be a suggestion for you.
Wow, I can’t believe it is already that time.
What IS in my fruit bowl?
- 6 left-over pixie sticks
- all the sappy VALENTINES that no self-respecting boy would take to school that comes in the multi-pack
- 5 bananas
Happy Monday! May your Monday be monumental.

The ONLY television show I watch that is still on the air is How I Met Your Mother and it is KILLING me!
I cycle through West Wing, Scrubs, Sports Night, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, and Moonlighting.
The ideas you ™ve shared here are fantastic and no doubt so great. I enjoy really your post!
Ha! Yes, I went through Downton Abbey withdrawals last year!
Love your blog and style of writing! I’m a new follower…trying to get back in touch with the writer-that-was-me. (Some how the mommy stuff takes over your life, shocking, I know.)
And thanks for joining and supporting the Moms Who Write and Blog board on Pinterest at http://pinterest.com/lnmontessori/moms-who-write-and-blog/!

I really enjoyed his game post!
I LOVE Downton Abbey too! I just got totally caught up on season 2 (through PBS.org) this weekend. Maggie Smith has the best one-liners!
