Next week – July 13 through 17 Willow Bend Mall in Plano is hosting FREE and unusual activities for kids at 2:00 daily. They are calling it the
Week of Summer Fun for Kids. All events will be held in the Grand Court (except for Tuesday’s activity which will be in the Macy’s Court).
The Scheduled FREE activities for DFW children:
Monday – VOCAL TRASH
“A high-octane stage group that provides an afternoon of music, dance and comedy”. Vocal trash is a program for kids that includes audience participation. It is a street show that will delight children with singing, “stomp” drumming and a variety of acts. The program is eco-educational and will include recycling tips from the people at
Coca-Cola.
Tuesday – CREATE-A-PIZZA DAY
Kids become chefs at California Pizza Kitchen. The children are invited to make their own pizzas. It isn’t just pizzas that will get a child makeover – they will also decorate a CPK box that The Shops at Willow Bend plans to display in an art exhibit. The program will also address proper hand washing technique as instructed by the
Medical Center of Plano.
Wednesday – SECRET AGENT MAGIC SHOW
The program will be magical! James Wand, secret-agent magician, will entertain the kids (and adults) with his adventure magic. He will introduce Agent Wand and his evil enemy Dr. No-No through stories and magic tricks.
Thursday – AUNTIE ANNE ™S PRETZEL ™S
Kids will participate with the people at Auntie Anne's to make their own pretzel. This event is also hosted by the
Medical Center of Plano.
Friday – BUBBLE WONDER
A Bubble Juggler? Come find out what that is and enjoy the amazing bubble entertainment.
The Shops at Willow Bend suggest that you stop by the Concierge Center located on the lower level near Macy's to pre-register your child. More information can be found on the Shops of Willow Bend website.
