Have you heard about the Yoga Aid Challenge? It is a special event happening this weekend in Fort Worth. Read on to find out more.

What is the Yoga Aid Challenge?

The Challenge is a special, 2 hour yoga practice held in hundreds of locations worldwide. In large events such as capital cities, the Challenge is lead by a series of 12 teachers, many of whom are internationally renowned. In community events (held in local areas by yogis from the community) the Challenge is lead by teachers from a variety of local studios. A Challenge is a unique opportunity to come together with your local yoga community and experience some of the world's most influential yogis: teachers include Seane Corn, Shiva Rea, Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa, Baron Baptiste, Duncan Wong, Ana Forrest and MC Yogi, amongst many others. However, the practice itself is not the challenge. The real challenge is in participating: whilst attendance is free, participants fundraise for charity in the lead up to the event. By registering for an event near you, you are helping to create strong communities based on giving. Practicing with the world's most influential yogis is an added bonus.
She Is Dallas info:  This information was provided by Kristi Taylor. Her personal goal is to raise $1,000. If you can not attend and wish to make a donation – you will be helping them reach their goal of raising $10,000. This event will be Sunday, October 2, 2011, in Fort Worth at 10am to 12pm at the Forest Park fields right next to the Fort Worth ZOO. You can attend with or without a donation but donations are much appreciated and go to such an amazing organization. Kids are welcome to attend as well.  They will be doing a variety of 108 Sun Salutations.
