Park Place Volvo Dallas invited Holly and her three boys {yes, they are very brave folks} over to test drive the Volvo XC60. In the first video, Conrad showed her around the car and Rhett even tested out the built-in second row booster seat(s).
And then they let her drive one.
Unsupervised.
Volvo XC60 Test Drive
The Volvo XC60 that Park Place loaned me for the afternoon was almost exactly the same color as my own car – Lexus RX. It is like they read my mind as to what I would pick out!
I have never driven a Volvo.
It seemed to me that the cargo area in the back was roomier than I was used to in my car. This was also helped because there wasn’t a booster seat in it 1/2 the time due to the very convenient built-in one in the XC60. I felt like the inside room in the car was about the same, but the front seat was separated a bit more from the passenger seat feeling more like a cockpit.
The ride was smooth and it was a fun car to steer. If you watch the video carefully, you might catch my boys nodding off to sleep as I drive around which is always a parental plus. I thought the air button is fashioned in the form of a person which makes it really clear where you are requesting air!
The boys voted for the “new” car unanimously. I would definitely test drive a Volvo next time I am in the market for a car…did I just say that?
