The movie is full of awesome special effects for the whole 12 minutes. The visual part of the movie is 3D with rocks, ships and other crazy things flying out of the screen at you but the 4D technology is what really brings you into the action. You will feel the breeze in your hair as you zip over the landscape in a Speedorz vehicle and feel misty sprays from the magical waters of Mount Cavora .
The story follows four young animals as they take a guided tour of Chima with Plovar the Parrot but then become entwined in a struggle between good and evil as they help their hero Laval the Lion Prince do battle with Cragger the Crocodile King.

After the movie, we spent hours exploring the rest of LEGOLAND Discovery Center. Younger children love the giant Duplo playhouse and slide. There are tons of giant rubber LEGOs so they can build till their heart’s content.
Older kids love the LEGO City Play Zone and Fire Academy where they climb over obstacles, scale walls, and slide down a giant tube slide.
But there is so much more than just the play areas. There are several rides that my kids had to ride over and over and over…
In Kingdom Quest, you take a journey through the magical land to save the princess but along the way you must shoot your laser guns at skeletons, trolls, and giant spiders.
On Merlin’s Apprentice, your car rides around in a circle but spin the pedals quickly and your car will magically rise up in the air.
And of course, the Forest Ranger Pursuit lets kids race around a track as they track down the bad guys who stole gold from the City.
What an amazing place for fun and adventure! My kids could spend all day here. Thankfully, we were able to get a quick bite at the LEGOLAND Cafe where they offer muffins, fresh fruit, hot dogs, and nachos.
