Nestled on the North side of the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens grows BRIT, an acronym for the Botanical Research Institute of Texas. And growing it is, as the yards, flower beds and even the roof is alive with plants. Inside the building, up in the Burk’s Children’s Library, a hand puppet named Bella the Begonia is growing in the hearts and minds of children who attend her storytime, offered twice a month, and free to the public. Join them as they regale in the Lois Ehlert book The Leaf Man in November. Storytimes are Nov. 3 and Nov. 6 from 10:30 – 11:30am.
