I love the Nasher Sculpture Center especially this time of year. Target First Saturdays is back this summer with bigger and better events planned for the entire family. The first Saturday of every month Target hosts a free event at the Nasher that includes a special theme for kids.
In June, we took the kids for their first visit to the Nasher Sculpture Center! The theme was the
Big Idea of Process! It explains how artists also have a process in the way they create beautiful works of art. The kids had a blast.
The first thing that catches your eye at the Nasher is this beautiful bridge sculpture that is actually a working bridge. I think it’s made of a rope like material that is incredibly strong. The kids donned their blue footies and we all walked across the bridge (even me). It was a blast.
There is so much to do at the Nasher — but I think the kids really enjoyed the outdoor sculpture garden! It’s so beautiful and peaceful that it automatically relaxes you. I love the water features, especially on a hot summer day.
This Saturday, July 7th, is another Free Target First Saturdays at the Nasher. Kids will explore the
Big Idea of Identity!
