“Out, out, brief candle! Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage and then is heard no more: it is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.” ~ Shakespeare, Macbeth (Act V, Scene V). Oh, the beauty and wonder of the writings of Shakespeare. When I was younger and had more time to read for fun, I often let my imagination drift away in one of the Bard’s twisting tales of love, deception, and revenge. Sadly, it has been a while since I turned the pages of Shakespeare. But my love for Shakespeare can be re-ignited because I’ve discovered Shakespeare in the Park. As the area's veteran producers of Shakespeare in the Park, Shakespeare Dallas has invited audiences to enjoy accessible productions in an open-air amphitheatre since 1971, reaching over 50,000 people every summer and fall. This season you can enjoy the incredible performances of Twelfth Night, Coriolanus, and MacBeth. I can’t wait! She Is Dallas Info: Shakespeare in the Park performances take place at either Samuell-Grand Amphitheatre, 1500 Tenison Parkway in Dallas or at Addison Circle Park, 4970 Addison Circle in Addison.
